Vedanta Aluminum Business is rapidly scaling its efforts to become a fully integrated, global leader in aluminium production, offering a wide range of high-quality aluminium products. Vedanta's Bauxite and Coal mines vertical (Mining Business, Aluminum) will play a crucial role in this endeavor, being strategically poised to be the largest value creators for the aluminium business.

To partner with us on this exciting journey, we are looking for a passionate leader for the position of Chief Community Development & Public Relations Officer to unleash our commitment to community development and enhance our organizational outreach on-ground. This leadership role will be crucial in unlocking increased value and growth for the business.

Role & Responsibility

The role involves maximizing value creation for stakeholders by effective community management and securing our social license to operate. In this key leadership role, the incumbent will:

• Design and execute CSR & PR strategies for Mines – Aluminium Business in line with the organization's vision, group initiatives and field requirements, positively impacting the community in terms of sustainable social and economic development.
• Plan budgets for annual CSR & PR strategic outreach programs including ESG, foster strong media relations in relevant districts and nurture meaningful stakeholder relations that augment the business.
• Work closely with Government, Civil society and other external stakeholders to identify requirements and develop key projects in vital areas including Education, Women empowerment, Nutrition etc.
• Implement an integrated media & communications plan at the state level and be responsible for amplifying impact stories to stakeholders through frequent media/brand awareness initiatives in the target regions.
• Create customized communications collateral to serve business and brand objectives in close coordination with media agencies and leverage innovative platforms to influence key opinion makers at local and state levels.
• Embrace technology and analytics to understand, monitor and measure progress and impact of initiatives undertaken. Strong governance is a vital success factor for the role.

Candidate Profile

• Master's Degree with more than 15 years of experience.
• Must possess exceptional stakeholder, community and media management skills, and strong advocacy experience in a corporate environment, backed by excellent communication skills.
