Position (Full time)
Member of the GPG Management Team
Responsible for the strategic fiscal management including driving digital transformation.
Supporting BU CFO is driving GPG strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Management
Long term Strategic planning in line with BU strategy implementation and followup
GPG Performance analysis, business review and proposal for actions to the management team; Followup and implementation of agreed strategic measures.
Support in evaluating the financial and strategic impact of the cost reductions and improvements initiatives across the GPG.
Strategic Investment Controlling covering CAPEX, New Product Development, R&D
Building and deploying strategic financial rationale for organic and inorganic growth initiatives; Participation in growth board proposal analysis and M&A due diligence.
Building and deploying strategic financial rationale for Footprint, technology transfer, product development and R&D initiatives
Analytics
Building and deploying GPG relevant Strategic Financial Dashboard including Product line, Hub, and customer KPIs.
Assessment of the savings of mainstream competitiveness initiatives including SCM and DtV per HUB
Analyzing and evaluating the Operation KPIs in collaboration with Operations team (RELEX)
Building and deploying CAPEX and Workforce planning analytics for GPG reviews.
Cross Hub Benchmarking and financial monitoring of GPG strategic initiatives
Risk Management
Recommending Hub / Local Controller procedural improvements for closing the efficiencies identified during audits.
Deploying effective and efficient project review tools, methodology and cadence to monitor margin deviations, contingency management, and early warnings.
Supporting BU CFO in building and deploying Contract life cycle management tool.
Involve in financial risk and contract management, risk review process for large projects.
CIMT evaluation/approval to ensure effective capital allocation.
Digital Transformation
Supporting Hubs in REIWA implementation focusing of the deliverable for Finance in transition (FiT) goals.
Driving Digital transformation initiatives across the GPG.
Supporting BU CFO in driving strategic IT initiatives.
People Management
Leadership, development, and succession planning of the finance and controlling resources in the GPG.
Optimization of resources in cocooperation with COE and shared service center
Reporting Lines / Direct Reports
Reports to the BU CFO and dotted line to GPG Managers
COE Support for Data Analytics and review preparation
Profile
Strong financial manager with relevant operational /factory controlling experience of 10 years.
Strong team player as the role requires extensive collaboration with other GPG functional leads and support them in taking better informed decisions.
Coaching GPG Functional Leaders regarding financial prudence of the strategic initiatives.
Deep knowledge of finance, controlling and risk management processes and tools
Strong knowledge of IFRS, ABACUS, ATLAS, MS Office, SAP, controlling productivity tools (e.g., Power BI) and other HE tools like Salesforce, RELEX, CIMT, Risk Review.
Good understanding of Hitachi Energy international business and structure.
Effective and efficient communication skills and passion to drive transformation.
