Job Description/Manager: As Sr Manager /Manager of Direct Tax yourresponsibilities include the following:
Direct TaxAdvisory:
Advising and compliance services on domestic andinternationally (this includes documents review and advising onapplicable tax withholding) including the Corporate Tax andTransfer Pricing International Tax.
Independently handletax engagements. Prepare submissions attend to assessment andappeal hearings before the CIT(A) and Tribunals.Developand maintain an effective working relationship with the taxauthorities relevant members of the business and functional teamsother members of the local tax and international tax teams andexternal service providers.
Lead and coordinate the taxmanagement of assignments with guidance from the Partner and managerisk and independence issues on client engagements.
Beactively involved in business development activities to identifyand research on opportunities on new/ existing clients. Assist taxpartners and senior management on proposals and businessdevelopment calls.Support the tax risk management andassurance process in the Group Tax function
Handlemultiple projects including transfer pricing documentation planningrestructuring inter company transaction consulting andpricing
Develop transfer pricing solutions andpolicies
Research and conclude on technical transferpricing issues
Provide advice regarding transfer pricingcontroversy issues
Consult with clients on economicallysignificant aspects of their business operations
Maintain a good working relationship with clients to enhancecustomer satisfaction and work with client management and staff atall levels to perform tax services.
Keep up to date withlocal and national business & economic issues.Continue to develop internal relationships and the firmsbrand.
Take responsibility for proper tax filing and taxdocument retention in relation to the direct tax compliancematters
Desired CandidateProfile: Chartered Accountant with 46/ 68 years of experience inDirect Taxation with professional firm. Also open to look atcandidates currently in industry but with good prior experience ofwith a consulting firm.
Should have basic knowledge ofallied laws like Companies Act FEMA etc.
Ability tohandle multiple projects at the same time while staying withintight timeframes and deadlines
Strong financial orstatistical analytical abilities
Excellent researchskills
Exceptional written and oral communicationskills
Attention to detail practical approach toproblems client focused and commercial awareness.
Motivated and committed to continuously developing technicalcommercial and client relationship skills.
