PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • The HCC Coding Team Member will review medical records to abstract ICD10 codes, specifically those that map to HCCs and RxHCCs
  • Coders will follow Medicare guidelines, ICD10CM guidelines as well as client specific requirements
  • Review, analyze and code patient medical records based on client specific guidelines for the project
  • Follow ICD10CM Coding Guidelines and interpret coding guidelines for accurate code assignment
  • Follow Risk Adjustment Data Abstraction Rules
  • Will be required to maintain an ongoing productivity level based on project requirements
  • Ensure individual compliance with all privacy and security rules and regulations and commit to the protection of all Company confidential information, including but not limited to, Personal Health Information
  • Audit retro and concurrent medical provider clinical documentation while adhering to Medicare guidelines
  • Review documentation to assign/audit correct diagnosis codes
  • Identify areas for documentation improvement and effectively communicate with staff and supervisor
  • Perform in a professional manner, exercising good judgement and ethical standards. Interacts effectively
  • Align conduct with AHIMA's Standards of Ethical Coding and the Company's Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and support the Company's Ethics and Compliance Program
  • Comply with all internal policies and procedures
  • Must maintain a 95% accuracy rate or above.
  • Must meet weekly production requirements.
  • Must meet weekly production requirements.
  • Be reliable and maintain a high level of confidentiality within all aspects of job performance
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, recognizing a commitment to privacy, security and confidentiality of all medical chart
  • Work schedule 8am 5pm or 9am 6pm
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in any life science


Licences/Certifications:
CPC/COC/CRC/CCS/CIC

  • Demonstrate analytical and problemsolving ability regarding barriers to receiving and validating accurate HCC information.
  • 1+ years experience in HCC coding
  • Preferred 1+ years E&M experience
  • Strong skills in ICD 10 CM and Risk adjustment coding guidelines

Pay:
₹12, ₹27,000.00 per month


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:
