    Business Consulting – Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) – Credit Risk, Capital Management, and Stress Testing

    Description

    EY's Financial Services Office (FSO) is a specialized unit that offers a wide array of services tailored to the financial industry. The FSO practice delivers comprehensive consulting to financial institutions, including banks, investment firms, insurance companies, and energy traders, addressing market, credit, regulatory, and operational risks.

    Within EY's Business Consulting Practice, the Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) group assists clients in recognizing, measuring, and supervising risks associated with their capital, credit, and market activities such as trading and asset-liability management.

    The credit risk, capital management, and stress testing team within FSRM plays a vital role in various activities:

    • Producing essential deliverables for senior management and regulators
    • Consulting on impact assessments and target operating models
    • Assessing quality control measures in the banking industry
    • Identifying regulatory impacts on capital frameworks
    • Assessing regulatory compliance in business initiatives and restructuring

    Clients served by this team include major financial institutions and asset management companies with significant market activities. Project teams often collaborate with top management, including CFOs and CROs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Engage in Capital Management processes like CCAR, Basel III, and regulatory stress testing
    • Participate in credit underwriting, portfolio management, and risk monitoring activities
    • Conduct assessments and analysis for regulatory changes and credit policies
    • Utilize reporting tools and manage client requirements
    • Lead client engagements and ensure high-quality services
    • Stay informed on market trends and client challenges
    • Monitor progress, manage risks, and communicate with stakeholders
    • Mentor junior consultants within the organization

    Qualifications, Certifications, and Education

    Must-have:

    • Master's degree in business administration (finance, economics) with 3-7 years of relevant experience
    • Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of Risk Management and Financial Reporting
    • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and senior management
    • Proficiency in databases, SQL, and common tools
    • Excellent written and verbal English language skills

    Good-to-have:

    • Certifications such as FRM, CFA, PRM, CA
    • Experience with risk management systems and regulatory frameworks
    • Willingness to travel for client engagements
    • Previous project management background
