Accounting Assistant (Strong Tally Knowledge)

Summary:


Responsibilities:


  • Manage daytoday accounting tasks using Tally, including:
  • Data entry for invoices, payments, receipts, and other financial transactions
  • Voucher creation and maintenance
  • Bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
  • Inventory management
  • Payroll processing
  • Generate routine financial reports and assist with adhoc reporting requests
  • Prepare and process accounts payable and receivable
  • Assist with monthend and yearend closing procedures
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate accounting records
  • Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 12 years of experience as an Accounting Assistant or similar role
  • Proven proficiency in Tally
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Additional Skills (Desirable):


  • Experience with other accounting software
  • Knowledge of GST regulations
