    Description

    About Function/Department

    RMD - Results and Market Development represents the circulation arm of the organisation. The RMD department includes generating Sales and increasing readership for BCCL Publications The function begins from mail room packing and dispatch right up to delivering the newspaper to the reader. It is responsible for enabling more and better audience aggregation and for driving newer revenue streams from reader engagement. This is done by reaching out to different segments and expanding the horizons onto new ventures.

    About the Position

    The role is part of City sales (A division of RMD) that is responsible for increasing ad-relevant circulation/readership of company's publications across the defined territories.

    Areas of Responsibility

  • Responsible for execution of Sales targets in the assigned territory through vendor and dealer network at optimal cost.
  • To execute methods/strategies to strengthen the distribution channels and vendor relations
  • Keeping track of competitor activities through constant monitoring of markets.

    • Educational Qualifications Required

  • Excellent communication skills with a flair for sales.
  • Postgraduate / MBA with 2-5 years' experience in sales preferably from Publication/FMCG sector.
  • Should be well versed in speaking English/Tamil
  • Having own 2-wheeler would be advantageous.
  • Personal/Direct selling experience required.
