Production Supervisor - Welding Machine Manufacturing Company


Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our welding machine manufacturing company. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the production activities within our facility.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our welding machines are manufactured efficiently, meet quality standards, and are delivered on time to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Oversight:

• Plan, organize, and oversee daily production operations to ensure the timely and efficient completion of manufacturing tasks.
• Assign and monitor work schedules for production team members, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet production goals.
• Conduct regular production meetings to communicate goals, targets, and expectations to the team.

Quality Assurance:

• Enforce strict adherence to quality control measures, ensuring that all welding machines meet our established quality standards.
• Monitor the production process to identify and address any quality issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the Quality Control department to implement corrective actions and improve product quality.

Safety Compliance:

• Promote and enforce a safetyfirst culture within the production area.
• Ensure all team members follow safety protocols, equipment operation procedures, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Investigate and report any safety incidents, taking appropriate actions to prevent recurrence.

Training and Development:

• Identify training needs for production staff and coordinate with the HR department to provide necessary training and development opportunities.
• Foster a learning environment to enhance the skills and knowledge of the production team.

Process Improvement:

• Continuously evaluate production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and costeffectiveness.
• Collaborate with the engineering and R&D teams to implement process enhancements and product innovations.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock availability to meet production demands.
• Coordinate with the Supply Chain department to manage inventory flow and minimize stockouts.

Performance Management:

• Conduct regular performance evaluations for production team members, providing feedback and coaching for individual development.
• Recognize and reward outstanding performance to motivate the team.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate production records, including production outputs, scrap rates, and downtime.
• Generate reports on production performance and present them to the management team.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred) OR equivalent work experience in a production supervisory role.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in the production of welding machines or related equipment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team effectively.
• Sound knowledge of welding processes, quality control principles, and safety protocols.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
• Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
• Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, as production demands may require.
