Collection Executive - Puducherry, India - Lekha Interiors

Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable for Lekha Interiors by monitoring and following up on outstanding invoices.
- Negotiate payment plans with clients experiencing financial difficulties while maintaining a professional and empathetic demeanor.
- Coordinate with internal departments, including sales and project management, to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and payment status using our accounting software.
- Prepare reports on accounts receivable status and provide regular updates to management.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations governing collections practices to ensure compliance.
- Work closely with the finance team to streamline collection processes and improve efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and address potential collection issues early in the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in collections management or accounts receivable role, preferably in the interior design or construction industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to effectively resolve conflicts and maintain positive client relationships.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing collections practices (e.g., Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) is a plus.
- A proactive and results-driven attitude with a commitment to achieving targets and deadlines.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities as needed.
- Integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information and client interactions.
Salary:
₹15, ₹20,000.00 per month
