About Client:Responsibilities:- Using (MIG) welding and torch cutting to manufacture and repair waste and recycling equipment
- Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications
- Use a variety of hand and power tools
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawing specifications, manuals, and processes
- Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications
- Read and use measuring tape
- Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
- Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
- Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
- Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
- Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (AOC)
- Determine weldability of materials
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
- Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
- Operate previously set-up welding machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment
Requirements
Education: Some secondary education is required
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in welding is required. If the candidate does not have 2 years of experience, then a post-secondary education certificate OR completion of a three-year apprenticeship program is required.
Ability to work independently and work well in a team
Forklift experience will be an asset
1 of them at least with a valid driver's license
Work conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail
Personal suitability: Client focus, team player, Flexibility, Reliability. Efficient interpersonal skills
Work Site Environment: indoors and Outdoors, noisy.
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Language: English is required.
