Test Manager with 8-10 years of testing experience who lives and breathes quality.


KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Defining test strategies across in-house and 3rd parties
  • Working in an iterative development model ensuring Quality Engineering is embedded as early as possible (shift left) within a SAAS delivery process
  • Knowledge of all the different facets of test coverage, including unit testing, functional, usability, accessibility, performance, capacity, security, integration testing, compatibility etc.
  • Experience of testing techniques that validates sensitive data with adherence to data policies (e.g. GDPR/PII)
  • Managing testing/resource across complex E2E solutions with both in house and 3rd party builds
  • Excellent test planning skills across a complex environment
  • Defect management along with knowing which defects to escalate/flag, confident steering dev teams - in-house/3rd party
  • Experience of knowing when and where to use Test Automation and following an 'Automate First' approach.
  • Managing and reporting on test progress including the management of any issues and risks
  • Defining test environments and test data to optimize testing both in-house and 3rd parties
  • Collating Quality Engineering test governance metrics and using this data to drive subsequent improvements to the Quality Engineering processes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills demonstrating business engagement up to senior management levels
  • Experience in creating and managing offshore testing teams with a track record of motivating and inspiring them
  • Experience in data modelling, forecasting capabilities and other revenue contribution models would be beneficial

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for defining and implementing the test approach for the project and championing adherence to it.
  • Responsible for implementing the shift left test approach and tooling to support this including automation.
  • Responsible for managing End to End test activities that span across multiple teams inside and outside.
  • Responsible for defining the test environments and associated test data requirements across in-house and 3rd parties.
  • Responsible for allocating and tracking progress of prioritised tasks within the team and across 3rd parties
  • Provide overall assurance against all testing completed.
  • Provide clear communication of test status, issues & risks and escalate appropriately.
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the teams.
  • Champion Quality Engineering practises across the teams and continually look for opportunities to improve the way in which the teams work.
