Overview:

Responsibilities:


  • Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to missioncritical production systems.
  • Designs database systems and management tools.
  • Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution endtoend.
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
  • Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.


Experience:

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • 5+ Years' Experience in performing data migrations upgrades/modernizations, performance tuning on IaaS and PaaS Managed Instance and SQL Azure
  • Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Assesses database performance by developing protocols to measure results and identify problem areas.
  • Experience with Azure SQL in a multiregion configuration
  • Advanced knowledge of database security, performance standards, and backup and recovery
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Flexible, team player, "getitdone" personality
  • Ability to organize and plan work independently
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to multitask and contextswitch effectively between different activities and teams
  • PostgresSQL knowledge is a plus
