Job Title:
Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) Mathematics

As a PGT Mathematics teacher for students ranging from 6th to 12th grade, your primary responsibility is to instill a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, develop problem-solving skills, and foster a love for mathematics among students.

You will play a crucial role in laying the foundation for their mathematical proficiency and preparing them for higher education and beyond.

The following are the key responsibilities and expectations associated with this role:

Curriculum Development:

Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with the educational standards and objectives set by the school or educational board.

Design lesson plans, select appropriate textbooks and supplementary materials, and integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

Assessment and Evaluation:

Design and administer regular assessments, including quizzes, tests, projects, and exams, to evaluate students' mastery of mathematical concepts and skills.

Analyze assessment data to identify areas of strength and areas needing improvement, and provide timely feedback to students and parents.

Individualized Support:
Offer additional support and guidance to students who require remedial assistance or advanced enrichment opportunities. Provide one-on-one tutoring, personalized learning plans, or extra-curricular activities to address individual learning needs and challenges.

Classroom Management:
Maintain a positive and conducive learning environment by establishing clear expectations, rules, and routines. Manage classroom behavior, promote active participation, and encourage collaboration and peer learning among students.

Professional Development:
Stay updated with the latest developments in the field of mathematics education, instructional methodologies, and technological advancements. Participate in professional development workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and pedagogical practices.

Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with colleagues, departmental heads, and school administrators to coordinate curriculum planning, instructional strategies, and student assessments. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students' academic progress, concerns, and achievements.

Qualifications:

Postgraduate degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Mathematics or a related field.
B.Ed. is required.
Prior teaching experience at the secondary or higher secondary level is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts, theories, and principles across various topics.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Passion for teaching and motivating students to excel academically in mathematics.
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
Proficiency in utilizing technology and educational resources to enhance mathematical learning outcomes.
