Introduction
As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities

What you'll do:

Establish Enterprise Architecture standards, data architecture standards, EA governance frameworks, and system integration standards
Develop and maintain the technology stack to include commercial or open source integration platforms
Commerce / Mobile / UI / UX / CX Technologies
Provide expert advice to project teams on use of integration technology, data architecture and modeling, system architecture including integration best practices
Oversee critical steps within the Software Development Life Cycle components that impact enterprise wide development / architecture standards
Work with project teams in definition of requirements for integration strategies of their projects into the Enterprise Architecture
Manage internal resources as well as augmented or externally sourced team members
Assist with incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution
Communicate project status to various levels of management
Oversee the technology and standards for version control
Partner with leaders of other disciplines to ensure proposed solutions align with information, technology, infrastructure, business, and security architecture
Occasional regional travel

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

BE degree preferred, and 12+ years of relevant work experience
Knowledge of enterprise architecture, systems architecture, integration architecture and data architecture standards, frameworks, and practice
Experience with the implementation of Continuous Integration practices and tooling to support automated build, delivery and regression test of commercial software
Proven experience in managing relationships with vendors/consultants, IT teams and internal stakeholders
Excellent communication skills
An interest in staying handson technical as well as wearing that team management hat
Established project management skills
