About the role:

LRN team develops data specifically for a set of key product domains like eLearning, Disclosures, personalization and completions. We deal in AWS technologies like Aurora RDS, DMS, KMS, Cloudwatch.

You'll support our database landscape and partner with Product and BI teams to build new behavioural events, pipelines, datasets, models, and reporting to support their initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

Monitor database matrices, logs, alerts to maintain database availability
Logical/physical backups and restorations
Handle database deployments
Modify databases objects according to requests and perform tests
Solve database usage/performance issues and malfunctions
Gather user requirements and identify new features
Provide database management support to concerned stakeholders
Research and suggest new database products, services and protocols
Work with Application teams for any data reporting queries/requests.
Design and optimize SQL queries
Assist with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning
Handle database patching, upgrades, failover/switchovers, database refresh and all such database maintenance activities

Requirements:

Must have

Strong knowledge on Aurora Postgres Administration
Knowledge on MongoDB, MySQL administration
Knowledge of AWS cloud concepts and services like AWS Glue, athena, RDS, DMS
Knowledge of database performance tuning DR activities, backups, encryption, upgrades etc
Design and optimize SQL queries

in PostgreSQL

Design, create, modify and remove database objects (tables, views, indexes, keys, stored procedures, functions, DB links, etc.) to support development projects
