    Project Procurement Manager -MBO

    About the Role

    • This position operates in AP Region with an annual spend engagement of approximately $30 million
    • You will be responsible for coordinating with the strategic sourcing team in the proposal phase of Motor, gearboxes, Heat exchanges, pressure vessels & machine monitoring systems for Compressor packages. This ensures compliance with customer requirements consistent with Siemens Energy policies and procedures, warranties, terms of payment, and cash flow are according to Siemens Energy requirements. You will also work closely with other Project Procurement Managers to support Siemens Energy Global Strategy.
    How You'll Make an Impact
    • Provide supplier recommendations and sourcing strategies on a project basis that supports Siemens Energy value proposition and enhances client satisfaction.
    • Expedite supplier quotes in time for Siemens Energy proposal submittal to the client.
    • Manage supplier engagement as client bidding conditions evolve, Keep updated knowledge of supplier contacts, capabilities, strengths, capacities, etc.
    • Negotiate in time to ensure the most competitive supplier quotes, pricing, delivery, strategic partnership, flow down of onerous terms, etc., for the project at hand.
    • Maintain technical understanding of Motor, gearboxes, Heat exchanges, pressure vessels & machine monitoring systems to negotiate effectively. Analyze bid tabulations to ensure parity and strategize for negotiations.
    • Participate in Sourcing Boards and provide inputs from the responsible MBOs. Participate in cost review meetings.
    • Participate in risk assessment and mitigation discussions as necessary.
    • Prepare Proforma contracts during award stages for swift processing of POs to suppliers.
    • Attend kick-off meetings with operations to ensure a smooth transfer of MBO supplier info.
    • Obtain and share market intelligence from the supply base and feed to Proposal / Sales.
    • Maintain supplier relationships to ensure collaboration on future opportunities.
    • Initiate project-specific supplier qualifications for new suppliers in collaboration with the Global Commodity Manager.
    • Provide inputs to Commodity Management during the Supplier Evaluation Process.
    • Share best practices and issues learned with suppliers with Proposal Engineers for risk assessment.
    • Adopt a personal commitment to excellence and actively support and participate in the Total Quality Process. Be a role model worthy of imitation.
    • Promote progress through positive change, continuous improvement, actively contribute to the collaboration concept.
    • Follow required processes to comply with the Siemens first policy and its derivatives.
    Other Additional Duties
    • Actively participate in strategy building and execution to provide low-cost and local content solutions.
    • Support regional activity and client interface as crucial.
    • Provide opportunities to leverage Global Siemens Energy spend capability.
    What You Bring
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Production engineering with a minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience
    • 5+ years of relevant experience in project procurement / Sourcing of Motor, gearboxes, Heat exchanges, pressure vessels & machine monitoring systems.
    • Knowledge of sourcing processes, Low-Cost Country Sourcing experience, and Cost modeling
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
    • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills, Long Term Contract experience
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships
    • Foreign Language Skills are a plus with Data Analysis and Change Management experience
