Position Overview:


The Construction Site Storekeeper is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of materials and equipment within the construction site.

This role requires meticulous organization, inventory management skills, and effective communication to ensure that materials are readily available for construction activities while maintaining accurate records of inventory levels.


The Construction Site Storekeeper plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of construction projects by efficiently managing materials and equipment.

This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can effectively coordinate with various stakeholders to support project timelines and objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:


  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and equipment against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Organize and maintain inventory storage areas ensuring materials are stored safely and securely.
  • Implement inventory control measures to monitor stock levels, anticipate needs, and prevent shortages or overages.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records.
  • Ensure proper handling, labelling, and storage of hazardous materials according to safety regulations.

Material Handling:


  • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to the construction site.
  • Distribute materials to appropriate work areas according to project requirements and construction schedules.
  • Monitor the movement of materials onsite, tracking usage and ensuring proper documentation of material transfers.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for the return of unused materials and processing of material returns.

Documentation and Reporting:


  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, consumption rates, and material usage for project management.
  • Prepare documentation for material requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Equipment Management:


  • Assist in the management of construction equipment, including logging usage, scheduling maintenance, and tracking repairs.
  • Coordinate with equipment operators and maintenance teams to ensure availability and functionality of equipment as needed for construction activities.

Compliance and Safety:


  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel on the construction site.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards governing the handling and storage of construction materials.
  • Participate in regular safety meetings and inspections, reporting any safety hazards or concerns to site management.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in inventory management or logistics is preferred.
  • Proven experience working as a storekeeper or similar role in a construction or industrial setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping and inventory management.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with suppliers, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to handling construction materials and equipment.

Salary:
₹10, ₹15,000.00 per month


Schedule:

  • Day shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • Yearly bonus

Ability to Relocate:

  • Pune, Maharashtra: Relocate before starting work (required)
