HEDGE FUND SERVICES- FINANCIAL CONTROL REVIEW

We have multiple opening at Associate Consultant, Consultant & Sr Consultant level. Core end to end NAV experience is mandatory.

ROLE

MAJOR DUTIES

  • Prepare and review NAV packages for hedge as a Fund Administrator
  • Prepare and review Operating expense schedules and entries
  • Prepare and review financial statements for funds adhering to the jurisdiction norms
  • Ensuring deliverables are in adherence to agreed SLAs and SOPs
  • Should be able to handle critical queries/issues and escalate on a timely manner
  • Respond quickly and accurately to queries which are highly time sensitive
  • Develop action plans for resolution of outstanding issues
  • Liaise effectively and independently with Onshore counterparties to resolve discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner
  • Should be capable of adding and reviewing various control checks
  • Prepare and update SOP, training material, checklists, trackers, etc
  • Understand and minimize risks associated with the process
  • Ability to work on adhoc activities
  • Working as SME of the process and should take major accountability from AC's.

SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of Financial products like Hedge funds and its underlying investments like Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives, TRS, REPO, etc.,
  • Strong accounting knowledge with understanding of journal entries, financial statements, NAV calculation, operating expenses
  • Exposure to Fund accounting or auditing of financial statements
  • Selfstarter with the ability to function independently in a fastpaced, dynamic and demanding environment
  • Strong problem solving skills, detailed and results oriented.
  • Ability to evaluate priority and multitask with mínimal supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively with project teams and clients
  • Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel and Word)
  • Excellent spoken and written English and the ability to write Business correspondence
  • Ability to address internal and external audiences in a professional manner
  • Demonstrate high ethical standards
  • Time management skills

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with emphasis in Finance and Accounting, CA/CPA/CMA/CFA is an added advantage
  • Minimum 410 years of work experience in financial industry with at least 2 years in the Fund Accounting and Reporting Industry
  • Experience with Hedge Funds, Investment Management and/or Financial Services strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, familiarity with financial markets and instruments
  • Should be flexible for shifts and extended working hours as per business requirements
