Description

User Support:

Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and networking issues.

Hardware Maintenance:

Install, configure, and upgrade desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, including troubleshooting and replacing faulty components.

Software Installation and Configuration:

Ensure that software licenses are compliant with organisational policies.

Network Connectivity:

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network connectivity.
Configure and troubleshoot local area networks (LANs) for desktop systems.

User Account Management:

Create and manage user accounts, profiles, and access permissions.
Reset passwords and assist with user authentication issues.

Backup and Recovery:

Implement and manage backup solutions for desktop systems.
Assist with data recovery efforts in case of system failures.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory.
Document procedures, troubleshooting steps, and solutions for common issues.

Remote Support:

Provide remote assistance to end-users who are not physically present.
Use remote desktop tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Updates and Patch Management:

Ensure that desktop systems are up-to-date with the latest software patches and updates.
Schedule and perform routine maintenance tasks to optimise system performance.

Problem Solving:

Analyse and diagnose technical problems, and implement effective solutions.
Escalate issues to higher-level support or specialized teams when necessary.

Customer Support:

Maintain a customer-focused approach, ensuring a positive experience for end-users.
Communicate technical information in a user-friendly manner.
