Job Description:


Strategic:

  • Facilitate identification and removal of systemic impediments for adoption of agile methods

Tactical/Operational:

  • Work directly with teams to implement and improve agile values, principles, and practices (from Scrum, Kanban and scaling frameworks like SaFe, LeSS etc)
  • Mentor and coach Product Owners and Scrum Masters into fulfilling their role objectives
  • Help build strong collaborative self organizing teams.
  • Cultivate an environment of transparency, trust and safety where problems can be surfaced without fear
  • Guide and coach teams maintain a shared visual workspace(physical or electronic)
  • Design and establish appropriate metrics to enable teams to continuously inspect and adapt
  • Assess teams' health of agile practices and coaching them to desired levels
  • Serve as a consultant when required to provide solutions that facilitate agile transformation
  • Keep up with the Agile/Scrum community within and outside Bosch and educate the team in new tactics/techniques

Examples of What a typical Coaching day looks like

  • Conduct a Scrum event ( Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint review, Sprint Retrospective) on behalf of new team/Scrum Master to demonstrate how to effectively run an event to meet it's intended purpose
  • Prepare for a Scrum event by ensuring the right information is gathered, available and made transparent for all participants to fulfil their roles
  • Discuss with leadership/management of a team highlighting the progress made and potential impediments that is blocking or slowing down the team
  • Conduct a immersive workshop for a new team exploring transition into agile ways of work
  • Prepare to launch and equip a new agile team
  • Train a team in a specific Agile/Scrum topic/technique
  • Respond to a consulting request
  • Facilitate a collaborative workshop for a team pursuing solution to current problems or improvement opportunities
  • Obtain team's feedback on a recent agile practice that was experimented
  • Design and configure agile project management tools to support the team in better organizing and executing their work
  • Exchange a strategic/tactical idea with a fellow agile coach/Scrum Master to improve the performance of a team

Qualifications:


Professional Coaching:

Ability to partner with teams in a thought-provoking and creative way that inspires them to maximize their potential

Ability discover their needs, encourage self-discover and self-generated solutions

Ability to firmly hold them accountable for the committed improvements/action


Facilitation:

Ability to function as a neutral facilitator who can guide teams through processes that help them come to solutions and make decisions

Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization


Transformation:

Ability to effect positive change in the teams/organization as a change catalyst


Desired:


  • Completion of Bosch Internal Agile training programs or external Agile/Scrum Coach or Scrum Master certifications
  • Knowledge of tools like IBM ALM ) or similar for Agile project management
  • Knowledge of Embedded software development and Braking systems is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of technical practices like TDD, CI, pair programming, automated testing
