**Security OfficerThe incumbent need to be Graduate from a recognised University or Post Graduate Degree in Management/ Hospitality/ General Administration or related areas from reputed universities/institutes, with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Security & Estate Management especially security operations & safety practices, enforcement of procedures & policies, etc.
He should have similar experience as Administrator or in the other similar capacity at Managerial level. As a Security officer a personnel is required to be alert and have desired skills viz.Surveillance Skills, Dealing with Uncertainty, Judgment, Objectivity, Dependability, Emotional Control, Integrity & moral fitness, Safety Management, Professionalism and Reporting Skills.
Retired Army, Air-force or Naval officer with administrative experience can also apply.- Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
- Obtains help by sounding alarms.
- Identify and investigate suspicious behaviour, threats and irregular activity.
- Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
- Ensure the security, safety and wellbeing of all personnel, visitors and the premises.
- Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
- Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
- Respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and students.
- Manage the Estate of the university campuses including housekeeping.
- Manage an estate which may include university buildings, hostels, residential accommodation, landscaping, canteen, gym, etc.
- Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment's and techniques.
- Responsible for managing the daily housekeeping operations including housekeeping staff in the Campus premises, hostels, campus accommodation, canteens, landscapes, etc.
- To ensure that the housekeeping staff maintains standards of cleanliness and availability within the premises and public areas.
