SUMMARY


As Vice-Principal (VP), you will be playing a critical role in supporting the Principal and ensuring the smooth running of the school.

The VP will be required to work as a member of the Senior Leadership Team in handling Academics and coordinating with teachers and section Coordinators for proper implementation and results.

S/he must be a highly motivated and dedicated individual with a passion for education and a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of each and every student.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leadership: As VP you must be able to lead by example and have the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve their best.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role, as the VP must be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
  • Organizational skills: As VP you must have strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Decisionmaking: You must be able to make decisions quickly and effectively, taking into account the needs and perspectives of all stakeholders.
  • Problemsolving: The ability to identify and resolve problems quickly and efficiently is critical for a VP, as they will often be called upon to manage crises and resolve conflicts.
  • Knowledge of education policies and procedures: A VP must have a thorough understanding of CBSE regulations, policies, and procedures, and must be able to implement them effectively.
  • Interpersonal skills: You must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and other stakeholders.
  • Teacher development: As VP you must have a strong commitment to teacher development and must be able to support teachers in their professional growth.
  • Student development: As VP you must have a deep understanding of student development and must be committed to promoting students' academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • You must be able to lead, plan, manage and ensure the successful delivery of the Academy vision for individual student achievement
  • Liaising with the Principal for all administrative work
  • Help Principal with the development of school policies, rules and regulations
  • Attend and participate in meetings with staff, parents and other officials
  • Assist with the recruitment, training and onboarding of teachers
  • Planning & Organizing school events and field trips and assisting with various committees
  • Establishing rapport and maintaining relationships with parents, staff and students
  • Conducting regular meetings with HoDs for streamlining academic operations
  • Handling CBSErelated work
  • Helping in the admission and retention of students.
  • Ensure that all students across the full ability range have maximum support and opportunities to reach their full potential and achieve a position where they can become effective and valued stakeholders in modern society
  • Collaborate as a member of the Leadership Team in order to build and realise the shared vision of excellence and high standards for all students
  • Ensuring highquality teaching and learning following the School policy for selfevaluation and review
  • Contribute, as appropriate with senior leaders, to training and the professional learning of staff (coaching and mentoring) with an emphasis on care, support, guidance, behaviour, attendance, inclusion and support all staff in achieving the priorities and targets of the school
  • To actively participate in the monitoring evaluation and review of teaching and learning in line managed faculties. Managing any capability or disciplinary procedures in line with Academy policy, where appropriate
  • Have overall leadership responsibility for Student Behaviour and Attitudes
  • To report to the Principal on all important matters

Experience

  • 5+years of teaching & administrative experience in a reputed CBSE School

Responsibilities:


  • At least 5 years of successful classroom teaching experience
  • Experience in curriculum and instructional development
  • Experience in student assessment and evaluation
  • Knowledge of state and central education standards
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with students, staff and the public
  • Knowledge of school management and educational research
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
  • Ability to implement innovative instructional methods
  • Being an excellent communicator, listen to staff, and be an effective channel between the Head of School and staff.
  • Be responsible for all Junior/Senior Coordinators and oversee their work in maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and achievement.
  • Be responsible for whole school assessment procedures. Oversee pupil target setting and progress tracking and ERP
  • Liaise with Admissions on the suitability of applicants and scholars
