Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Travel Arrangements: Coordinate travel logistics for GSIS students, including booking flights, accommodations, transportation, and any necessary travel documents.
  • Prospective Parent Travel Coordination: Assist prospective parents visiting GSIS with their travel arrangements, including flights, accommodation, transportation, and scheduling school tours.
  • Excursion Planning and Booking: Plan and book travel for student excursions, including researching destinations, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring all logístical details are in place.
  • Budget Management: Work within budgetary constraints to provide costeffective travel options while maintaining highquality service standards.
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with travel vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with GSIS policies and procedures.
  • Travel Advisory Services: Provide travel advice and recommendations to students, parents, and staff, including information on destinations, visa requirements, health and safety precautions, and travel insurance options.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of travel bookings, expenses, and itineraries, and ensure all necessary documentation is completed and filed appropriately.
  • Emergency Assistance: Serve as a point of contact for students and parents during travel emergencies, providing assistance and support as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on travel industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of travel services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, tourism, business administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a travel agent or travel coordinator, preferably in an educational or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, staff, and external vendors.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced environment.
  • Familiarity with international travel regulations, visa requirements, and travel insurance policies.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, especially during peak travel seasons or student excursions.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills would be an advantage.
