Insights & Actions Partner, People Analytics


The Team:

The Organizational Analytics & People Insights (OAPI) team's mission is to create a culture where analytics and insights are at the heart of decision making at S&P Global.

As a product-led team supporting all divisions and functions, we work together to create products and solutions to drive our businesses forward with data-led decision making.

The Impact:

This is an exciting opportunity to help build and shape how our People Platform and OAPI team enable enterprise-wide Organizational Health, Org Design Consulting, and agile People (Workforce) Planning capabilities.

The analyst will play an integral role in driving and enabling data-driven organizational design and people planning to ensure the appropriate scale and business impact are achieved for people strategies.

As the team grows and develops, you'll help shape the strategy and direction of people analytics at S&P Global.

You'll be given many challenges and opportunities to be creative and passionate in this space, especially as we continue to drive change through the enablement of proactive and predictive analytics.


Responsibilities:

Design, produce and explore analytics and insights that underpin the people strategy of the business and predict relevant focus areas; produce strategic data modeling, analytical interpretation, and action planning based on the priorities of your businesses
Contribute to the continued use and development of central enterprise dashboards and analytics - through feedback, enhancement suggestions and recommendations, guidance on user experience, UAT testing to ensure accuracy, and responsibility for dashboard engagement for your aligned businesses
Produce board level and executive ready stories, presentations and materials, using people data stories and visualizations, in support of the strategic objectives of the company and each business
Act as a consultant, actively listen and ask questions to deepen understanding, and support your aligned stakeholders on interpretation of metrics and analytics; maintain a continuous partnership and engagement with your aligned partners, the overall People team and the central People Analytics team; proactively identify and propose opportunities for investigation and future development
Collaborate with your fellow Insights Partners to find areas for process improvement and drive consistency in our space; research industry best practices, attend webinars and stay engaged with the People Analytics global community; knowledge share with the team and with our extended people team to enable upskilling and data literacy
Use sound judgement and discretion while leveraging confidential data, ensuring compliance with our data privacy guidelines, code of business ethics and other practices and policies


What We're Looking For:

3-5 years of work experience in HR, data analytics, FP&A, or similar function
Strong analytical background with experience in data modeling, manipulation and presentation
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills - individual must be comfortable with creating, manipulating and maintaining complicated formulas, pivot tables, data visualizations to support business needs
Experience across various data sets and visualization tools (Workday, Tableau, Power BI, AWS, etc)
Coding skills - SQL or similar
Acute attention to detail; highly organized and structured; solid project management skills; able to manage multiple competing priorities at once
Ability to think analytically, logically and strategically across various business and people related problems and initiatives; ability to investigate, troubleshoot and question data and hypotheses; ability to create and present on complicated data stories with polished presentation skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, understanding when to bring various pers
