    Job Details

    This is a strategic leadership role as a Senior Cloud Engineer, guiding the Cloud Operations Engineering Team and ensuring the stellar performance, security, and efficiency of our AWS cloud infrastructure.
    Primary responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Strategic Cloud Management: Propose AWS cloud architecture design, deployment, and persistent refinement, employing Terraform.
  • Security Oversight: Champion stringent security and compliance using AWS IAM and SCP, addressing vulnerabilities proactively.
  • Container Management: Oversee Amazon ECS, Docker containers, and orchestration tools, ensuring optimal deployment and scaling.
  • Automated System Management: Implement system automation and configuration management using Puppet, with a focus on CI/CD pipeline cultivation.
  • Performance and Recovery Management: Lead initiatives in performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and robust disaster recovery planning.
  • Incident Leadership: Manage incident response, orchestrate on-call rotations, and foster a culture of continuous improvement through insightful post-mortems.
  • Cost Management: Spearhead initiatives for astute cloud cost optimization in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Team and Knowledge Management: Uphold comprehensive documentation and knowledge-sharing practices, and manage talent acquisition, mentoring, and development within the cloud infrastructure team.

    • Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with pivotal technologies a must:AWSTerraformECSLinuxPuppetIAMSCP
  • Proficiency in container technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices, GitHub Actions, and Git.
  • Adeptness in scripting/automation using Bash, Python, or Ruby.
  • Robust networking and cloud security knowledge.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

    • Requirements

  • Proven management experience leading engineering teams towards operational success.
  • Prior experience in recruiting, hiring, and nurturing a high-performance cloud infrastructure team.
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer preferred.

    • Working days/hours: Monday to Friday; Fully working from the office - Indiqube Alpine (Transit) 7th Floor, Jawaharlal Nehru Road, Guindy Area - adjacent to Ekattuthangal Metro Station.
