    Description

    Overview:

    As a Head, Central Data Platform you will be able to influence the architecture and infrastructure design and operations of a Central data analytics platform that enables the organization to use data in an efficient and secure manner. This involves the building and maintaining the components that enables the Data Analytics user to perform regular data analytics product development and execution, data exploration, experimentation, AI/ML model development / deployment and serve any business needs.

    We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and self-driven individual who has a balanced mix of deep technical expertise as well as the ability to execute the strategy to build the foundation and deep dive into architectural and performance challenges.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for Design, Development, and Management of data analytics platform.
    • Will be responsible for development of the data marts for the product and related subject areas.
    • Own and lead all data platform initiatives – Data Strategy & Governance, Data Engineering and Platform development, ensure all jobs run seamlessly with quality and timely manner.
    • Lead multiple transformation initiatives, drive strategy, and foster innovation.
    • Provide strategic oversight and implementation approaches for data management aligning with strategic business goals and roadmaps.
    • Lead data roadmap and model discussions and development with Data Analytics Product Owner and Technology teams.
    • End-to-end responsibility on running the data platform, monitoring key metrics around availability, performance, and data delivery. Drive incidents resolution and root cause investigation within post-mortems establishing a culture of collaboration between teams.
    • Focus on delivering fully automated, tested, and self-healing systems. Engage in capacity planning and explore solutions to increase the efficiency of the platform using the opportunities of the open-source technologies.
    • Deliver high-quality code and solutions, to improve data delivery, fault-tolerance and seamlessly integrate with the production platform.
    • Evaluate new data management technologies and consistently generate new ideas.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and bring industry knowledge while exemplifying a transformational mindset.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Educational qualification – Master in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) from any reputed institute
    • At least 15 years of hands-on experience in BFSI.
    • Experience with modern programming language (Python, Kafka, Scala, Java, etc.), data modelling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
    • Experienced in cloud data offerings (especially AWS), data lake technologies, columnar and NoSQL databases, unstructured data, ETL/data integration.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of data platform architecture, data modelling (Dimensional, Star, Normalized, etc), database optimization, data management practices and processes.
    • Strong understanding of agile principles
    • Experience with Implementing continuous delivery and deployment solutions (Gitlab, Azure DevOps), scripting language.
    • Understanding and experience to set up Metadata management like Data Dictionary, Data Glossary, Data Lineage for Data Governance aspects of the project.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
    • A drive to learn and master new technologies, techniques, and digital banking.
