This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Experience working with an Agile-driven team and with concepts such as Poker Planning, Product Backlog Review, Sprint Planning and Stories.
  • Ability to debug production issues, perform root cause analysis, identify short term and long term solutions, and implement/deploy necessary code changes
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams of architects, product owners, and developers, to perform daytoday tasks and achieve organizational goals
  • Understanding and experience will full software lifecycle, specifically in an agile manner
  • Passionate about fostering a culture of trust, quality, mentorship and innovation within the team

Key Responsibilities:

Production Support:

  • Manage user tickets queue and provide timely and effective resolution to users
  • Effectively communicate with users and guide them through system issues
  • Identify strategies to fix repeating issues to reduce ticket volume in the long run
  • Build code changes (in Java, React) to fix production bugs

SRE:

  • Setup/maintain proactive Monitoring and Alerting
  • Identify bottlenecks in the system and implement software or infrastructure optimizations
  • Identify and debug production issues across multiple services and at different levels of the tech stack
  • Meet key metrics such as Service Level Objectives and Recovery Time Objectives
  • Perform and complete blameless Root Cause Analysis Investigations
  • Chaos Engineering

Qualifications:


  • 4+ years of DevOps/Production Support experience
  • Experience of writing code in Java is must
  • Experience of writing code in React will be a huge plus
  • Strong inclination towards automation and Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience in deploying and managing microservices in a Cloud environment
  • Containerization
  • Experience in Disaster Recovery and High Availability Strategies
  • Logging Infrastructure and traceability
  • DB storage management and scaling
  • String debugging and analytical skills

Relevant Technical Experience:

  • Java 8+
  • React
  • SQL
  • Microservicerelated technologies such as API Gateways, Caching, Data storage, and Message Brokers
  • Experience with delivery pipelines such as Jules or Spinnaker
  • AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Pivotal Cloud Foundry or other similar cloud platforms
  • Docker/Kubernetes
  • Datadog/Grafana/Splunk/AppDynamics/Apica
