Position Summary:


The MS Transition PMO will be responsible to setup and manage the PMO for the transition process of Managed Services projects in close coordination with the Transition Leader in order to mobilise the transition phase, setup the overall transition plan and project governance, develop and track the risk and issue logs, project status tracking and reporting as well as transition closure.


Essential Functions of the Job:

The major areas the On-boarding and Transition Senior Manager manages can include:

  • Develop the MS Transition PMO strategyand approach
  • Build the GDS MS Transition PMO team
  • Support the Transition Leader to develop the MS project transition plans
  • Agree the goals and KPIs of the onboarding and transition phase with the Transition Leader
  • Lead the MS Transition PMO team and coordinate inputs from the crossfunctional teams.
  • Coordinate the development of the knowledge transfer plan and material and execute knowledge transfer plan.
  • Coordinate the documentation of the client current mode of operation due diligence, including process, people and technology.
  • Support the people stream lead to coordinate and manage the client personnel transfer (rebadge)
  • Support the process stream lea to coordinate the development/transformation of the service process
  • Support the technology and data lead to coordinate and manage the Client Technology and Data migration process
  • Support the Transition Leader to develop and manage the the service rehearsal testing process.
  • Support the Transition Leader to coordinate the handover of the Operations (cutover and golive).

Primary Objectives:


  • Develop and implement the Transition PMO strategy and approach.
  • Develop the Current Mode of Operation due diligence to support knowledge transfer.
  • Ensure the smooth transition of the operations to the new MS organization

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:


Broad knowledge and experience in:

  • Business Process Analysis
  • Managed Services IT Platforms
  • Leading distributed/virtual teams serving broad range of customers.
  • Selfstarter with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects or smaller programs that require coordination of work between various parties like third party subcontractors.
  • Ability to multitask

Above average skills in:


  • People Management
  • Negotiation
  • Task performance management

Excellent skills in:


  • Project Management techniques and tools
  • Agile and lean approaches
  • Management of the transition of Service Operations

Supervision Responsibilities:

Yes (GDS PMO team)


Other Requirements:


  • Open to work extra hours in case of required achieving milestones.
Occasional travel


Job Requirements:


Education:


  • Administration or Engineering bachelor degree or similar
  • MBA or Master's Degree in engineering of similar are ideal

Experience:


  • 15 + years of experience in Project management
  • PMP / Prince II certification required
  • Expertise in relationship building with different roles and level in the organization

Certification Requirements:

PMP / Prince II
