Description

Objective:

Responsible for shift related Production Activities in Care Chemicals and Engine Coolant Plant, Dahej involving Process Safety, Health and Environmental activities related to the plant and personnel working.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage production in shift with consistent quality as per the target.
Continuous processes in coordination with the Head
Care Chemicals Plant & Quality control to reduce batch cycle times, increase in yields, increase operational ease and ultimately leading to cost effective production.
Continuous monitoring of Production process from DCS and ensuring it is carried out in safe manner.
Guiding a group of Officers / Operators in the plant continuously to ensure product quality of international standard. Implement Safety, Health and Environment system of the plant concerning man and equipment.
Update knowledge regarding product through proper channel.
To implement & maintain Management systems like ISO9001/ISO14001/ISO50001/ RCMS/RSPO/ EFfCI GMP/ IATF.
Ensure EnMS (ISO50001) awareness training taken and implemented in plant.
Maintain the hygiene of the plant. follow the global hygiene requirement.
Ensure implementation of sanitization procedure.
EFfCI GMP awareness training to be provided to team & follow EFfCI GMP guideline.
Assist to Site Incident Controller in case of emergency in Care Chemicals Plant.
Assist to Site Emergency Controller during after office hours (i.e., 5:00 PM to 08:30 AM) in case of Emergency.
Guide shop floor personnel towards SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) /Responsible care /cleanliness of the plant (5S) /discipline for improving the BASF's safe work culture in the shifts. This ensures compliance of BASF's statutory requirements, which also includes the training of the subordinates regarding the safety aspects and handling of the critical hazardous chemicals
Ensure that discharge parameters of all the emissions in the plant are within the statutory limits and health and hygiene of the plant personnel is well maintained in the shifts
Adherence to the PPE usage of the plant personnel and work permit system is properly followed in the shifts
Compliance to process safety and environmental protection code as per BASF Practice
Ensure the documentation of Responsible care requirement on continual basis

Requirements:

B. Tech. / BE / Diploma (Chemical Engineering) / B.SC. (Chemistry)
For BE (0 t0 2 Years) For Others 2 to 10 Years
Chemical Process, Experience, skills, and knowledge in various manufacturing disciplines including production, Technology, is preferred
Distributed control system operations / Safety instrumented system functions (SIS) for enhanced safety of the operations
