  • Key missions of the position:
  • To take complete ownership of assigned project's Total cost ownership (TCO), drive and improve cost of Electronics & Electrical Products.
  • Define and execute Project Sourcing plan such as Transfer of Technology projects, Make or buy, Localization and dual sourcing.
  • Define Sourcing plan following retroplaining methodology to meet project Customer FAI milestones covering long lead time items, Internal (SISCO) products, sourced components and subsystems on time for optimizing the Project cost and delivery milestones.
  • Deploy standard APQP process for component, subassembly, proprietary parts sourcing.
  • Manage the Project Cost Package, Identify and drive Margin Improvement Programs (MIP) for improving Project QCD, review periodically the QCD with the stakeholders, establish a robust "Forecast at completion" vision, taking into account risks, ambitions and uncertainties, establish waterfall analysis at each Project Gate reviews, engage commodity buyer and Souring team for managing the deliverables.
  • Build business case for Transfer of Technology projects, localization, Make or Buy in the assigned product line for improving competitiveness for the respective products.

Main responsibilities:

Project Souring Execution and Contract Margin Improvement:

  • Prepare retro-planning considering Internal and Customer FAI targets by engaging relevant stakeholders such as Project Supplier Quality, Project Engineering, Project Supply Chain, Process Engineering, TOT Project Manager, Project Manager and execution of retro-plan until FAI milestone are met.
  • Plan and execute localization, Transfer of Technology Project, Makeorbuy, Resourcing, outsourcing decision for meeting project delivery commitment, improving project cost and contract margin.
  • Identify and drive Margin Improvement Programs (MIP) on regular basis for improving project performance.
  • Maximize local spend for improving local content and competitiveness of the product line.
  • Deploy Commodity Sourcing Strategies for all component / subassemblies sourcing.
  • Organize necessary materials are available for timely retro fitment and warranty replacements needed for the project ontime at the best cost.
Deploy APQP

  • Deploy Standard APQP process while sourcing components, Subassemblies, products with the support of SQA.
  • Organize and manage technical reviews with Suppliers, Supplier Quality, Engineering and supply chain in order to formalize the team Feasibility Commitment during supplier selection and ensure all technical requirement are met.
  • Collect and formalize REX (Return on Experience)
Competitiveness

  • Perform Quick costing, ZBC
  • Zero based costing when the inputs are made available to build quick tender costing for meeting Customer offer deadlines.
  • Perform Should costing for electronics products with the support of Commodity and Should costing team for improving the product cost.
  • Ensure that the commodity strategies are implemented at the all level, anticipate and communicate new supplier and technology needs to the commodity team.
  • Maximize reuse of existing products for project and new solution proposal with the support of supplier (Return on Experience).
  • Collect and share market date for Engineering, Product Management and Sales for improving cost of Electronics products.
  • Collect and formalize REX (Return on Experience)
on solutions which were successful (QCD wise ).
