Position Overview:

The Government e-Marketplace (GeM) Executive is a crucial role responsible for facilitating and managing the procurement activities on the Government e-Marketplace platform.

GeM is an online portal initiated by the government to streamline the procurement process for goods and services by various government departments, public sector undertakings, and autonomous bodies.

As a GeM Executive, your primary focus will be to ensure efficient and transparent procurement processes while adhering to the government's guidelines and policies.


Key Responsibilities:

GeM Procurement Management:
Oversee the end-to-end procurement process on the GeM platform.

This involves handling the entire lifecycle of procurement activities, including requisition, tendering, vendor selection, purchase order generation, and contract management.


Vendor Registration and Onboarding:
Facilitate the registration and onboarding of new vendors on the GeM portal. Verify and evaluate vendor documentation and credentials to ensure compliance with the GeM requirements.

Vendor Management:
Maintain a database of registered vendors and update their details as required. Manage communication with vendors, resolve their queries, and address any issues related to the procurement process.

Bid Management:
Coordinate and manage the bidding process on GeM for various procurement needs. This includes drafting bid documents, evaluating bids, and recommending suitable vendors based on predetermined criteria.

Compliance and Policy Adherence:
Ensure strict adherence to government procurement guidelines and GeM policies throughout the procurement process. Maintain accurate records and documentation to facilitate audits and compliance checks.

Training and Awareness:

Conduct training sessions for government officials and stakeholders to promote awareness of the GeM platform and educate them on its functionalities and benefits.


Market Research:

Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and products, keeping in mind quality, pricing, and other relevant factors to enhance the procurement options available on the platform.


Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor the performance of the GeM platform and analyze key metrics to identify areas for improvement. Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, vendor performance, and platform usage.

Dispute Resolution:

Handle any disputes or grievances related to the procurement process, ensuring swift resolution and maintaining a positive relationship with all stakeholders.


Collaborative Efforts:

Collaborate with various government departments, agencies, and stakeholders to understand their procurement requirements and assist them in utilizing the GeM platform effectively.


Salary:
₹15, ₹18,000.00 per month
