Collaboration Administrator (Teams, Sharepoint, Intranet):

Position Overview


The Administrator-Systems role is to ensure the streamlined operations of Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, and other Westlake Web & Enterprise Applications.

This individual will plan, coordinate and assist in the management Westlake's SharePoint and Teams environment.

You will be configuring our platforms, adding document libraries, developing shared storage space, developing and maintaining Disaster Recovery servers, updating license keys and backup procedures.

The Administrator-Systems will work closely with other SharePoint/Teams administrators to identify and improve the reliability, security and effectiveness of IT services.

This includes the responsibility of helping to manage procedures related to the identification, prioritization, and resolution of IT problem tickets, which also includes the monitoring, tracking, and coordination of IT response functions.

The Administrator-Systems will also contribute to problem resolution by giving hands-on support to resolve SharePoint, Teams and other Web & Enterprise Applications operational issues.

This person will also execute and administer operational policies, procedures, and best practices.

The Administrator-Systems will also identify the need for projects to improve the Westlake Web & Enterprise Applications.

To ensure success as an Administrator-Systems, one should exhibit solid knowledge of Windows operating systems and the ability to create a positive experience for end-users.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assess and develop longterm operational goals and service levels for SharePoint and other Enterprise & Web Applications and associated Systems Operations in conjunction with Management.
  • Oversee Installation and configuration of relevant server, storage and network components to ensure secure and reliable operations as well as SharePoint environment consistency and integrity.
  • Coordinate response to and resolution of IT incidents and performance issues.
  • Maintain redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets.
  • Coordinate, monitor, optimize and support data storage and backup and recovery operations.
  • Coordinate and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to the production environment.
  • Conduct research and make recommendations on IT products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
  • Perform IT operational and security audits.
  • Enforce established IT Security access controls.
  • Scope of Administration-Systems Responsibilities include:
  • Adding users, controlling access to document libraries, and setting permissions.
  • Performing maintenance of the SharePoint platform, servers, and intranet.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint issues or malfunctions.
  • Providing SharePoint support and enduser training.
  • Performing data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss.
  • Ensuring sufficient storage space by performing cleanups and archiving data.
  • Reviewing usage and activity reports and adjustments ensure optimized userexperiences.
  • Maintaining network infrastructure, as well as managing encryption, security zones, and firewalls.
  • Keeping up to date with SharePoint developments and performing version updates and upgrades.
  • Resolve issues when alerted by oncall emergency phone during assigned rotation period
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
