Reuters is seeking experienced Editorial Operations Administrator for the newsroom operations to help handle the newsrooms operations in New Delhi.


The operations individual will have to ensure a smooth handling of all local admin tasks working closely with the bureau chief and regional GM's on admin support.


About Role:

You're a fit for the role of Editorial Operations Administrator if your background includes:

  • Ensure Smooth Handling of All local Admin Tasks working closely with the bureau chief and regional GM's on admin support.
  • Maintain organized filing system, both digital and physical (applicable originals), to ensure easy retrieval of documents and compliance with local legislation
  • Support to Senior Staff on managing their calendars, submission of expenses.
  • Liaison with local facilities management, local authorities, HR and IT and manage communications to the bureau on holidays, cafe backups
  • Onboarding and Offboarding in the Delhi bureau, preparation of the Weekend and Shift rota of all the relevant teams
  • Managing the coordination with HR and hiring managers in scheduling tests and interviews
Relocation of employees coming into Delhi or visa-a-versa

  • Coordinating / Assisting in relevant trainings / events across the region.
  • Manage subscriptions (TV, mobile phones, news feeds) and memberships and sharing budget information with the respective Regional Admin
  • Take ownership of securing safety gears and quarterly Sortly updates and accurately enter and maintain data including tracking of BU owned assets tracking (mobile, UPS, SIM etc),
  • Provide support with vendor setups working closely with the Global Ops Team
  • Cooperate with vendors and internal sourcing department to manage procurement
  • Headsup GM on new PO requests and ensure timely receipting
  • Followup with AP on payments to make sure invoices are paid within deadline
  • Work closely with the bureau driver on the usage of the vehicle and monitor fuel claims, renewal of insurance & emission tests, timely
  • Manage freelancers in the region

About You:

You're a fit for the role of Editorial Operations Administrator if your background includes:

  • Excellent organizational skills and experience in office administration and people management and problem solving
  • At least 2 years of experience in the relevant field
  • Very strong written and spoken English and at least one more language relevant to your region
  • An ability and desire to manage a team across languages and geographies
  • The ability to work under pressure and with great flexibility
  • Goaloriented to meet the set objectives and goals
