Driver cum Veterinary Assistant

Position Objectives:


  • To ensure that the organisation's ambulance is roadworthy and ready to go all the time
  • To be available to drive the vehicle whenever needed
  • To assist the veterinarian and veterinary assistants with clinical procedures and with the maintenance of supplies

Term of Employment:

Manager of Veterinary Services - Delhi/Mumbai


Location:

Delhi and Mumbai


Primary Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Assist the veterinarian and veterinary assistants with routine clinical work, including the humane handling and restraining of animals
  • Assist the veterinarian with the daily maintenance of drugs, instruments, and other equipment in the emergency vehicle and replenish the stock when necessary
  • Assist team members with routine clinical work and community engagement activities
  • Take photographs and video footage of important clinical cases and community engagement activities, compile them by the end of each week, and share them with the supervisor
  • Manage crowds at treatment sites and request that animal owners and bystanders allow clinical procedures to be performed without hindrance
  • Carry out daily fitness checks on the ambulance
  • Drive responsibly while ensuring safety and security
  • Ensure timely maintenance and servicing of the vehicle
  • Maintain essential documents, including the vehicle's logbook
  • Ensure that biomedical waste is collected, packed, and stored for disposal as per the protocol
  • Ensure that drinking water is available in the vehicle for staff at all times
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of two years of experience driving fourwheel vehicles
  • Experience maintaining fourwheel vehicles preferred
  • Experience maintaining medication inventory preferred
  • Experience in assisting with regular officerelated work preferred
  • Good communication skills in Hindi preferred
  • A valid driver's licence for fourwheel vehicles
  • Commitment to the objectives of the organisation

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
₹20, ₹22,000.00 per month
