Core technical responsibilities for the role

Act as the main doer of Quarterly valuation deliveries for different lines of business on SII, UKGAAP & IFRS17 reporting metrics
Performing monthly tasks including calculation of IFRS Mismatching Profits, Transaction Profits, Effective value testing, Life Time Mortgage Junior note calculation etc
Responsible for timely delivery and accuracy of the results to the senior members of the team
Eventually develop the technical understanding of the valuation process, other monthly submissions and annual reporting valuation exercises
Understand and monitor the business requirement and new developments related to own area of responsibilities and implement the required changes to the established processes
Ensure process documentation on all crucial tasks are updated and saved on shared drive

Compliance

Ensure understanding and adherence to M&G India's Code of Conduct and, where appropriate, comply with all relevant regulatory policies
This includes completion of any mandatory training

Knowledge & Skills (Must Have):

Confidence & excellent communication,
Awareness of the Financial Services industry and regulatory environment,
Good knowledge of MS-Excel and ability to use the complex formulae
Ability to interpret simple actuarial formulae,
Understanding and knowledge of actuarial procedures,
Working knowledge of Conventional, Unit Linked and With Profits & Annuities,
Good MS office suite knowledge

Knowledge & Skills (Additional):

Knowledge of IFRS 17 and SII,
Experience of communicating findings and results of analyses in the appropriate format to ensure understanding, determining the most appropriate message and delivery method,
Good understanding of UK Life Insurance regulations,
Experience of disseminating quality information to internal stakeholders,
Experience of the production of financial results and the implementation of financial controls,
A working knowledge of VBA, python, SSIS, SQL would be advantageous but not essential.

Experience:

02 years of relevant Actuarial experience

Educational Qualification:

Graduate/ Master in any discipline (preferably Mathematics, Statistics or Economics),
An active student member of the Institute or Faculty of Actuaries and / or Indian Institute of Actuaries,
Steady progress towards actuarial qualification,
CM1 exam is mandatory.
