- Ad hoc data ingestion. Maintaining and automating data workloads
- Designing automation and repeatability using. Creating directed acyclic graphs (DAGs) for Cloud Composer / Airflow
- Running jobs in multiple regions or zones. Develop reusable terraform and automation scripts that are portable between
- environments and different services/projects.
- Implement and customise monitoring and alerting solutions that are fit for the service and stakeholder requirements.
- Develop and improvise deployment processes in CI/CD tooling eg Jenkins. Requirements
- GCP Certified (preferably). Detailed understanding of GCP services and architecting principles.
- Strong Teraform, & scripting skills and strong unix experience.Knowledge of at least one development language such as Java, Perl, PHP or Python. Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes – build and maintenance.
- Working with code management tooling such as Github and Nexus. Knowledge of CI/CD testing practices and tooling. Integrating testing into the product lifecycle.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tooling and deployments. Strong understanding of Jenkins principles, setup and general understanding of networking principles, Security and Integration.
- Experience of monitoring and alerting technologies such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Datadog and the DevOps support ecosystem.
- Clear communication to stakeholders at all levels. Ability to articulate progress, issues and blockers in a clear and timely manner to senior management. Ability to lead a group of platform engineers and be responsible for mentorship and growth
- Experience with Agile methods of working and concepts. Ability to help train and upskill other team members. Strong documentation and ability to define processes.
- Ability to navigate through problems and work with multiple teams to resolve issues and conflicts
