Responsibilities:

Work with all the units in finance, risk and market data perimeter to build IT strategy.

Architecture for large programs spanning across units.

Understand the domain and the business thoroughly to align the long term business roadmap with architecture strategy.

Conceptualize and represent architecture proposals keeping in consideration the long-term picture as well as the regulatory commitments.

Collaborate with domain & technical architects to arrive at the right solution.

Explain and convince the stakeholders about the benefits of the architecture decisions.

Influence the technical community across the department to adopt and strengthen good design & architecture practices.

Accountable for the technology and architecture choices.

Build working concepts of the architecture decisions to demonstrate the benefits and value.

Work across technology stacks (.NET, Java, Python).

Learn new trends in the industry and drive adoption.

Go-to expert on Big data and cloud architecture/implementation.

Profile required:

Anticipate the needs of the department and be able to make solution proposals even before anticipation becomes a necessity.

Be comfortable and succeed even when there is ambiguity.

Go-getter and getting things done mindset.

Ability to quickly deep-dive into large codebases to understand and identify potential improvements.

Worked on several moderate to complex projects in evaluating and making technology & architecture decisions.

Expert on at least one technology stack and able to understand and work on any tech stack as and when required (.NET, Java, Python).

Expertise and experience in data engineering and cloud implementations (Spark, Hadoop, Kubernetes, Messaging, SQL & NoSQL storages, OLAP, high performance computing, in-memory storages).

Strong understanding of distributed systems architecture.

Understanding of enterprise architecture practices & techniques.

Experience in capital markets domain (or willing to learn).
