Role & Responsibilities:


Purpose:


Thermo Fisher Scientific is on the lookout for a dynamic Scientist capable of spearheading innovation to elevate customer outcomes through the development and validation of cell culture workflows, reagents, and consumables.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct various cell culture activities and lab techniques, such as aseptic expansion of cell lines, handling of primary cells, and immortal cells
  • Engage with stem cells and conduct diverse differentiations
  • Regularly analyze cell culture samples through techniques like microscopy, gene expression analysis, Western blot/ELISA, among others
  • Lead scientific research emphasizing cell culture techniques autonomously
  • Create customer-oriented documents featuring scientific writing and high-quality visuals
  • Maintaining detailed records of cell culture parameters and results
  • Ensure data integrity, precision, and analysis
  • Deliver top-notch results aligning with project timelines to support existing and new products

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and keen attention to detail are crucial
  • Proven ability to collaborate in teams and mentor junior researchers
  • Proficiency in primary and/or stem cell work is essential
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Aptitude for learning new techniques and solving problems innovatively

Education & Experience Levels:

  • Ph.D. in life sciences or Master's in Cell Biology/Biotechnology or related field with 5-6 years of research background
  • Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Cell Biology

Nature of Experience:

  • Profound understanding of cell biology basics, cell physiology, and tissue development
  • Ability to think critically, work independently, and conduct experiments

Knowledge Required:

  • Exposure to GLP, GMP, or other laboratory practice certifications along with EHS certification will be advantageous
