    Description

    Overview :

    Recrud, a leader in tech recruitment, is actively seeking a Principal Backend Engineer for its prestigious client in the fintech sector.

    This role demands a visionary professional capable of shaping the backbone of financial technologies.

    The ideal candidate will have a robust background in software development, with at least seven years of experience, preferably within the fintech :

    - Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-availability backend systems that handle large volumes of transactions.

    Lead architectural decisions and provide guidance on best practices in backend development.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and achieve holistic business goals.

    Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.

    Oversee the integration of new technologies and systems into existing infrastructure.

    Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards.

    Analyze current technologies used within the company and determine ways to improve.

    Document development phases and monitor systems.

    Identify, assess, and solve complex, technical problems with robust, sustainable solutions.

    Lead by example in code and overall development practices, setting a high bar for other :

    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    Minimum of 7 years of experience in backend development, with hands-on expertise in using modern programming languages like Java, Python, Ruby, or Go.

    Proven track record of developing high-scale, secure, and reliable software systems.

    Extensive experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and database management.

    Strong understanding of APIs, microservices architecture, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

    Knowledge of financial systems and regulatory environments is highly desirable.

    Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
