Description

We are looking for a skilled AutoCAD / Solidworks designer/draftsman with 2-3 years experience to create Mechanical CAD models for our clients using AutoCAD and Solidworks software.

In this role, you will be required to meet with engineers to discuss design concepts for CAD models, develop product designs as per the requirement of clients.

To ensure success as an AutoCAD drafter, you should have extensive experience working with AutoCAD and Solidworks software, advanced design skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Ultimately, a AutoCAD drafter can design and create high-level design models that meet all the specifications of the client.

• Proficient with AutoCAD and Solidworks
• Diploma in mechanical drafting, or CAD certification plus 2 years of relevant work experience
• Solid understanding of product design and mechanical engineering principles
• Accurate, organized and able to work with mínimal supervision
• Capable of developing schematics and models of individual components as well as complete architecture
• Develop 2D drawings of design specifications for mechanical equipment and components to assist in planning and production
• Use CAD programs to combine schematics and design data into accurate 3D models
• Analyze design documents and plans to verify dimensions and materials and coordinate with engineers to resolve any errors
• Assist engineers during initial planning by creating onthefly design sketches and models for analysis and modification
• Collaborate with engineers, production technicians and clients as necessary to identify design problems and develop effective solutions
• Developing product designs from scratch.
• Presenting rough design drafts for client approval
• Finalizing AutoCAD & Solidworks models
• Presenting models to clients
• Completing job reports
