Position:
Cashier

Overview:
As a cashier, your primary responsibility is to handle monetary transactions accurately and efficiently.

You will be the final point of contact for customers during their shopping experience, ensuring a positive and seamless checkout process.

This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Handling:

Accurately process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions.
Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.

Customer Service:

Provide friendly and efficient service to customers during the checkout process.
Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a courteous manner.

Product Knowledge:

Familiarize yourself with the store's products and promotions to assist customers with inquiries.
Stay informed about current sales, discounts, and special offers.

Accuracy and Attention to Detail:

Ensure that all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
Doublecheck prices, discounts, and quantities to avoid errors.

Compliance:

Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer interactions.
Follow security measures to prevent theft and unauthorized transactions.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with other staff to provide a cohesive and positive experience.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous 2-3 years experience in a cashier or customer service role is advantageous.

Strong mathematical skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure.

Basic computer proficiency for using point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Working Conditions:
Cashiers typically work in a retail environment with varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Shift timing - 3pm to closing time.(12/1 am)
