Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD) - Service Product Development (SPD) has engineering responsibility for all remanufactured service parts sold by the Company (in and out of warranty repairs).

The open position below supports both the Reman Engine (primary) and Reman Transmission (secondary) Teams.

Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree required in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Strong knowledge of how engine components work together to make up a running engine assembly is required.
  • How automatic transmission components work together is a plus but not a requirement.
  • ASE Certification and/or handson Technician experience is a strong plus
  • WERS (must also understand the Ford design and release process)
  • CMMS (Common Manufacturing Management System)
  • SAP (basic working knowledge is acceptable)
  • MMP

  • MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook
  • SharePoint
  • Must be an effective communicator and work well with many different people
This is a position within the Reman Engine Team.

The Program Coordinator has responsibility for the following:

  • Release all new reman engine & transmission BOMs into CMMS
  • Revise/update CMMS BOM's when Part Number changes occurs, insure Change Log Process is followed
  • Release new Reman engine & transmissions into WERs to generate a new Service Part Number
  • Assign new core groups for new Reman engines insuring no duplicate Core Groups
  • Assign Reman transmission "family names" in SAP so Program Manager can create new core groups
  • Provide accurate Reman cross reference PN's on Core Harvest returns
  • Identify new Engine Code usage twice a year. Conduct Cycle Plan Review meetings to determine which new Engine Codes will be remanufactured and which will be serviced only by new service parts
  • Create Application Charts by Vehicle Application with Engine Code usage
  • Release new / updated Reman Engine & transmission Engineering Specifications into WERS
  • Represent Engineering at the weekly Supplier Back Orders Meetings
  • Support joint Product Development, FCSD Marketing, and FCSD AERO initiatives
  • Identify Material Cost Savings/ Complexity Reduction opportunities
