Freelance Compositor:

Outpost VFX is looking for Nuke Compositors to join us for some exciting projects.


Working alongside other members of the 2D team, you will be responsible for delivering world class level shots, combining live action and cg elements, matching the vision and creative direction of the Visual Effects Supervisor throughout various high-end film and tv projects.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Working in collaboration with the 2D Supervisor and Visual Effects Supervisor to evaluate the creative and technical approach to assigned shots
  • Taking briefs and direction from Leads and VFX Supervisors to execute assigned shots in the best and most efficient way possible.
  • Balancing the creative and technical aspects of the assigned shotsOngoing communication with Production and Leads regarding schedules and deadlines
  • Taking responsibility for own workload, time management and notes/feedback
  • Meeting schedules and show deadlines

Required Skills:


  • Strong ability in all aspects of compositing in Nuke, integrating 2D, 3D and liveaction elements to a highend visual effects standard
  • Strong eye for detail, composition, understanding of color and lighting
  • Strong communication, organisation, interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, collaborative and teamorientedwork ethic
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and problem solve
  • Calm under pressure

Desirable Skills

  • Working knowledge of the overall VFX Pipeline
  • Knowledge about practical lighting and photography
  • Experience using ShotGrid
  • Experience using Linux
  • TCL Expressions and Python

Salary
Depending on Experience and contract type

Due to Covid-19 you may need to be able to work from home at the beginning of your appointment. However, if offered a position you may be required to work in our Mumbai studio. This will be discussed during your interview. If shortlisted for an interview, you will be asked some questions to assess your homeworking capability.


Contract Details:


  • 3 to 6 months contract
  • Usual full time working hours (9:30am to 6:30pm)
