    Description

    Function Name:
    Interior Design Engineer

    Experience: 3 -9 years

    Industry – Automobile


    Scope of Role:


    The Engineer is responsible for generating CATIA V5 Body Engineering CAD concepts/ solutions for ongoing and new projects for IP & Console.


    Area of Responsibility:

    • This position is responsible for creation of CAD geometry and Drawings in support of various closure projects.

    You will have responsibility for:

    • Be responsible for the design and development of:
    • IP topper pad, IP structure, Glove Box, Driver side lower, Air vent, ducts, defrost grille, Side window demist grille, etc.
    • Console Side panel, Console structure, Top finisher, Cup holder, Arm rest, etc.
    • Ensure data is up to date and reflects the required levels of maturity at any given point in time
    • Provide CAD support, leading and progressing the design in line with the program timescales and deliver able cadence
    • Ability to check and manage clearance to interface parts.
    • Ensure manufacturing feasibility of parts.
    • Ensuring issues that cannot be resolved are escalated to Lead Engineer
    • Ensuring that the all project deliverables are met.
    • Identifying all risks to the program

    Essential:

    • Extensive experience in using CATIA V5
    • Good all round de sign skills which must include past experience of working on at least one of IP or Console systems
    • Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.
    • Team Centre Engineering (TCE)
    • Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
    • Excellent communications skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels,
    • PC Literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc

    Qualification:
    BE/B. Tech in Mechanical/Product ion/ Automotive Engineering

    • Agile & Scrum methodology of working
    • Multi tool skills, more than one CAD software experience
    • Exposure to major OEM design standards like Bill of Design, Design rules etc.
