Job Description:

As a PKI Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Telecom industry, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems and processes within the organization.

You will work closely with the Harshicorp Vault and GitLab platforms to ensure secure and efficient handling of cryptographic keys and certificates.

Key Responsibilities:

PKI Management:
Design, implement, and maintain the PKI infrastructure, including key management, certificate issuance, and revocation processes.
Ensure the availability, scalability, and security of the PKI systems, considering industry best practices and compliance requirements.
Monitor PKI performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular audits to ensure adherence to established policies and standards.
Harshicorp Vault Integration:
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate Harshicorp Vault into the organization's infrastructure.
Configure and manage secrets and keyvalue stores within Harshicorp Vault, maintaining access controls and ensuring data confidentiality and integrity.
Develop automation workflows and scripts to streamline PKI operations and enhance the integration between Harshicorp Vault and other systems.
GitLab Integration:
Utilize GitLab's CI/CD capabilities to automate the deployment and management of PKI resources.
Collaborate with development teams to implement secure GitLab pipelines for certificate management, including certificate generation, renewal, and distribution.
Establish and enforce GitLab repository and access controls to safeguard sensitive PKIrelated code and configurations.
Security and Compliance:
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and security vulnerabilities related to PKI.
Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security gaps, recommending and implementing appropriate remediation measures.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS, by implementing proper controls within the PKI environment.
Documentation and Training:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidelines, and technical diagrams.
Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members and stakeholders on PKI concepts, best practices, and tooling.
