SUMMARY OF THE ROLE


As operation finance controller you will be Managing and maintaining all aspects of the Accounting functions and its staff, by co-ordinating, initiating and following up on processes and practices to ensure that accounting books and records are properly maintained, and that adequate, accurate and timely information is provided and requirements and standards are met.


Responsibilities:


  • Managing capital investments and responsible for all finance activities of India plant operations.
  • Strictly monitor budget to raise alerts due to overspends or deviation from strategic plan
  • Ideate on cost saving initiatives.
  • Perform and conduct the monthly financial closing activities such as cost reconciliations, stock reconciliations and tie it to books as per group policies
  • Ensure high quality and compliance on financial execution including stakeholder management activities with the category, operations and sales teams for account and segment level requirements such as vendor/ customer reviews, review of ledgers for cost control
  • Publish monthly segment level margin reports and closely monitor the movement of raw material/ input prices to provide insights on margin trends.
  • Prepare management reports at regional, site, sub segment level as and when required.
  • Guide and support the cross functional teams such as operations, sales and peers in finance to ensure smooth coordination between departments in order to achieve corporate financial goals
  • Work with external auditors such as statutory, internal and cost auditors for timely monthly and annual reporting and relevant reports
  • Trouble shoot operations projects to provide them adequate financial guidance including liaison with the group to expedite the execution of special projects

  • Qualifications: CA or ICWA
  • Experience: 5 + years of experience of a manufacturing companies in roles such as manufacturing / operations finance controlling, topline controlling, business finance. Also Some one with prior experience in liaising with cost auditors preferred.
