Responsibilities:


  • Renewal Management
  • Willingness to learn the Intellectual property domain, and understand rules and regulations around renewal fees for patents
  • Oversee the endtoend patent renewal process, from initiation to completion.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of renewal payments for patents across various jurisdictions.
  • Checking invoices received from agents in different jurisdictions for correctness
  • Handling Quarterly and Monthend invoicing activities and ensuring revenue recognition is completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensuring deadlines are met and followup with stakeholders on commitments

Portfolio Analysis:

  • Conduct regular analysis of the patent portfolio to identify upcoming renewal deadlines.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on portfolio performance.
  • Maintaining the client records uptodate in IPMS (MaxVal Systems)

Client Interaction:

  • Demonstrates effective, clear and professional written and oral communication.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information for renewal instructions.
  • Address client queries and concerns regarding the renewal process.

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of renewal instructions and related documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Implement quality control measures to minimize errors.
  • Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including legal, finance, and administrative departments, to ensure seamless workflow and information exchange.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficiencyenhancing measures.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and recommend changes to optimize the renewal process.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed and organized documentation related to patent renewals of Client portfolios.
  • Generate reports on renewal status, portfolio performance, and other relevant metrics.

Requirements:

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Science or Commerce or Finance or Engineering. Graduate in Finance domain will be added advantage. Finance and Intellectual Property (IP) knowledge will be added advantage.

Experience: Minimum of 4 -6 years of experience. Experience in Finance and Intellectual Property (IP) will be added advantage.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess portfolio data and make strategic recommendations.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and internal team collaboration.

Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in renewal instructions and documentation. Reporting and validation skills.

Software Proficiency: Excellent Microsoft Office skills, familiarity with patent management software (will be preferable), and other relevant tools.

Task Management: Should have ability to prioritize and manage expectations, ability to work independently.
