About the team

The Corporate & Investment Bank Strategy organization functions as an internal consulting group, working directly with senior business stakeholders on projects having significant impact on the firm's strategic endeavors across the globe.

Projects include developing international growth strategies, assessing and planning new product and market entry, outlining business deep dives, evaluating strategic investments, improving operational efficiency and effectiveness, defining digital/technology strategy, formulating firm's acquisitions/ divestitures strategy, enhancing cross business collaboration and identifying strategically significant industry themes/ trends.

Our focused group of professionals is composed of top performers from top strategy consulting firms, investment banks, and other internal JPMorgan Chase groups.


Responsibilities of the Knowledge Expert

  • Design, implement and manage the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) Strategy Knowledge Portal, ensuring that the database of projects and people are up to date, complete and well catalogued
  • Ensure that project deliverables and relevant research are uploaded in the system, indexed and comprehensively catalogued in the Knowledge Portal
  • Maintain current, relevant documents for the Strategy team including:
  • Training materials (e.g., LOB 101s)
  • Line of business townhalls
  • Staffing tracker
  • Strategy alumni tracker
  • Proactively procure and curate all external content, and ensure timely cataloguing and storage on the Knowledge Portal
  • Support the Strategy team's research needs, in coordination with the Business Research Center (e.g., competitive analyses / Coalition support, market / wallet sizing, product mapping / benchmarking)
  • Assume ownership of the project function and topic taxonomy, and update it regularly to ensure relevance for the project teams
  • Ensure documents uploaded in the Knowledge portal adhere to data privacy and other compliance requirements
  • Manage existing subscriptions to external information / research sources
  • Provide relevant trainings focused on knowledge management and best practices in research
  • Ensure continuous improvement of existing tools and processes around knowledge management

Qualifications and skills

  • Prior experience as a knowledge management specialist in a management consultancy preferred/helpful
  • Strong research and content acquisition skills
  • Selfstarter, organized, ability to operate independently with mínimal direct oversight
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with global team members at all levels of the organization
  • Technically proficient in maintaining unstructured data sets, basic coding skills for developing search logic, etc.
