JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Functions as a facilitator and responsible for enacting agile values, processes & practices including managing timelines and resolving problems
Creates self-organizing teams that are flexible and fully productive during sprints
Provides coaching to 1 or more scrum teams
Facilitates prescribed iterative events including release/sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, sprint reviews, etc
Accountable for traceability to Business Requirements, controlling/monitoring scope creep, managing risks/dependencies and removing impediments and blockers
Responsible for managing sprint & release timelines and report progress status to Program Manager and organization leadership
Works closely with Program Manager to support a community of practice to help improve agile processes across multiple scrum teams
Shields the team from external interferences
Ensures compliance with Cytel SDLC SOPs and handles internal/external process audits

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelors or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent

Experience:

5+ years of experience in agile software. Minimum 3 years' hands on experience as Scrum Master
Experience managing at least one scrum team
Good understanding of the SDLC. Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices

Skills:

Excellent communication (written & oral both), facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills
Ability to engage with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders to resolve conflicts arising during sprint/release execution
A strong advocate and practitioner of agile methodologies and practices
Ability to work with distributed teams, across time zones
Ability to prepare agile scrum reports, metrics dashboards, presentations and draw conclusions from relevant data and drive improvements accordingly
Proactive and selfstarter attitude should not require followups by others
