Summary of Responsibilities

  • Teaches and supervises undergraduate courses in 2D Design & Drawing 1. Can teach a section of upper division painting/drawing courses each semester. Plans, prepares, and implements an approved course of study. Prepares instructional materials (demos, visual presentations, online materials) as necessary. Instructs, manages, and supervises individuals and groups in classrooms/labs or online courses by using methods such as lectures, demonstrations, discussions, and visual aids. Mentor students outside of class time. Maintains and submits accurate and current reports and records regarding student grading, attendance, and performance.
  • Devotes time to creative/scholarly/professional activities.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

Knowledge:


  • Knowledge of art history, art criticism and theory that includes a variety of perspectives
  • Knowledge of principles and elements of 2D Design
  • Knowledge in art studio practices relevant to Painting/Drawing area courses
  • Knowledge in student management, motivation and evaluation techniques

Skills:


  • Skills as a practicing artist in Painting/Drawing area related media
  • Skills in Painting/Drawing theory and pedagogy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Skills in interpersonal relationships, problemsolving and decisionmaking

Abilities:


  • Ability to relate well with students and colleagues.
  • Ability to evaluate student work effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to teach, mentor, and motivate students in inclusive and engaging ways.
  • Ability to teach courses in a variety of formats: hybrid/online/live stream/weekends/evenings.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time


Salary:
Up to ₹25,000.00 per month

Expected hours:
No more than 30 per week

  • Teaching: 5 years (preferred)
  • Making lesson Plans: 5 years (preferred)
